Paul On Trial Chapter 1

Throughout history the number of righteous people has always been small.

We see this in Genesis 6:5-8 , “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repents me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.”

The entire ancient world of millions, or perhaps billions of people, were one hundred percent wicked and evil, except for ONE MAN, Noah.

The Apostle Peter said, “And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly.” (2 Peter 2:5).

Jesus speaking of what he calls faith said, “Nevertheless when the Son of man comes, shall he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8).

The faith that Jesus speaks of is the faith entrusted to his twelve apostles, whom he left to found his church. They were trained and prepared by Jesus Christ himself, to go and preach the gospel to all nations. He that believes and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believes not shall be damned.” (Mark 16:16).

The greatest of these apostles was Peter.

Matthew 16:17-19 “And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood has not revealed it unto you, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto you, that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church: and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever is loosed on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

The church is founded on the faith of Peter, and anything other than this is not true faith! No wonder the devil has worked so very hard to do a character assassination of Peter, to where the Christians no longer heed his words and warnings. Christians no longer place themselves under the authority given to the twelve apostles (I include Matthias), that Jesus sent to found his church. This is apostasy from the gospel. Peter gave us a very solemn warning about some epistles that he saw bring destruction to the lives of many people. Yet his warning was not heeded, and somehow these epistles made their way into the Bible, and our modern church is founded upon these very same epistles. We have abandoned the teachings and commands of Jesus Christ, and the faith of Peter, and have built our church upon the epistles of Paul.

Listen very carefully to Peter’s warning about Paul’s epistles. Peter was too wise to attack Paul head on. In his time Paul’s letters had already gained a large following. So Peter in his wisdom began with gracious words about Paul.

2 Peter 3:15-17 “And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him has written unto you; AS ALSO IN ALL HIS EPISTLES, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. You therefore, beloved, seeing that you know these things before, BEWARE LEST YOU ALSO, BEING LED AWAY WITH THE ERROR OF THE WICKED, FALL FROM YOUR OWN STEADFASTNESS.”

The Apostle Peter said here very clearly that Paul’s epistles brought destruction to many people, and that they were the error of the wicked. Cry, yell, weep, shout with rage, turn red in the face, and still these verse say the very same thing. So it is time that we recover ourselves from the error of the wicked. The modern church is full of sin and adultery, both physical and spiritual. There are thousands of denominations, groups, and splinter groups that claim to be Christian. We are in very deep trouble. I believe that a false hyper-grace gospel caused most of this mess.

So the purpose of this book is to give Paul and his epistles a fair trial, using only the King James Bible with  The Thompson’s Chain Reference Study Helps as evidence. No other outside material is used. Man chose what books were allowed into our modern Bible. Even today some Bibles include the books of the Apocrypha, and some do not. Men make mistakes. The Bible without the Apocrypha, and the Bibles with the Apocrypha cannot both be correct. All the different modern versions of the Bible cannot all be correct either. They say different things. Yet God has allowed all of this. You who believe in the infallibility of the Bible, tell me, which Bible is infallible? The Bible with the Apocrypha, or the Bible without the Apocrypha? The King James Bible? or the New King James Bible? The NIV, Today’s English Version, The Message, The Watchtower, or any other version? If God does not allow or permit there to be any error, then why all this error?

Could it be that we really are the church of Laodicea “and know not that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked”? (Revelation 3:17).

So let’s do what Jesus counseled us to do.”I counsel you to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that you may be rich; and white raiment, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness does not appear; and anoint your eyes with eyesalve that you may see.” (Revelation 3:18).

Let us be brave, honest, and above all, let us SEE. I am not bringing into question the Old Testament (without the Apocrypha books). I find no fault or error in it. I believe it to be 100% the Word of God and infallible. I am not bringing into question the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, James, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, Jude, or Revelation. I find no fault nor error in it. I believe these books to be 100% the Word of God and infallible.

I bring into question the Book of Acts because of Paul’s conversion story, and also what happened immediately after his conversion. Especially because the three accounts of it that are given in the Book of Acts are vastly different one from the others.

I bring into question ALL of Paul’s epistles, Romans through Hebrews. Whether you believe Hebrews is written by Paul or not, it has brought pain, heartache, and shipwreck to millions of people during the past 2,000 years because it adds a new unpardonable sin that Jesus never mentioned. Jesus clearly taught only ONE unpardonable sin, the blasphemy of or speaking against, the Holy Spirit. So let us also be commended by Jesus for placing Paul on trial.

Revelation 2:3 “I know your works, and your labor, and your patience, and how you can not bear them which are evil: and have tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and have found them liars.”

Remember that Paul and his epistles are being put on trial in this book. I give him the benefit of being considered innocent until proven guilty. I do warn you that what you are about to read will totally shock and awe you. Only the King James Bible is being used, but you will see things that you NEVER saw before. If your heart is soft and honest before God, you will weep, repent, cry out to God for mercy, and be astonished; as I was. If your heart is hard toward God, all you will get is very angry. May you have eyes to see, ears to hear, and a soft heart that understands. Listen to all of the evidence being presented before casting judgement one way or the other. May God richly bless you. I love you and I hope to see you in heaven some day.
